Angela Frigo

EU Liason Officer - Fondazione Banco Alimentare Onlus

Dopo aver conseguito una laurea specialistica in Lingue e Letterature Moderne e Comparate (Università di Verona), Angela Frigo ha svolto un tirocinio al Parlamento europeo (EP), collaborando con lo staff di un deputato. In seguito ha lavorato all’Associazione Banco Alimentare del Veneto Onlus, un’organizzazione non-profit che fa riferimento alla Rete Banco Alimentare. Nel 2011 è stata selezionata per un altro tirocinio presso il Servizio Ricerca Parlamentare europea del Parlamento europeo, dove ha preparato dossier e aggiornato le informazioni relative alle attività svolte dalla Commissione Agricoltura e Sviluppo Rurale del Parlamento europeo. Dopo quest’esperienza, ha iniziato una collaborazione con la FBAO, occupandosi delle relazioni con le istituzioni europee. Ha promosso le attività della Rete Banco Alimentare a Bruxelles presso le istituzioni UE, con le quali ha collaborato e partecipato agli incontri (es. Working Group on Food Losses & Food Waste, DG Health and Consumers, e High Level Forum for a Better Functioning Food Supply Chain, DG Enterprise and Industry). Si occupa anche delle relazioni della FBAO con la Federazione Europea dei Banchi Alimentari (FEBA). After a MA in Comparative Languages and Literatures (University of Verona), Frigo Angela did a traineeship at the European Parliament (EP), working with the staff of a MEP. Then she had an experience at the Associazione Banco Alimentare del Veneto Onlus, a non-profit organization which belongs to the Food Bank Network. In 2011 she did another traineeship at the European Parliamentary Research Service of the EP, where she drafted dossiers and updated information related to the activities carried out by the Agricultural and Rural Development Committee of the EP. After this traineeship, she started a collaboration with the FBAO, taking charge of the relations with the EU institutions. She has promoted the activities of the Food Bank Network in Brussels among the EU institutions and she has participated and collaborated with them (e.g. Working Group on Food Losses & Food Waste, DG Health and Consumers, and the High Level Forum for a Better Functioning Food Supply Chain, DG Enterprise and Industry). She is also responsible for the relations of the FBAO with the European Federation of Food Banks (FEBA).
